The Every Other Day Diet – My journey to Losing Weight
This post was written by my friend, Jane, who embarked on the Every Other Day Diet. She promised to keep my blog readers up to date with her progress. Please leave a comment and encourage her. You can read about her here and discover why she chose this weight loss program.
Yesterday marked my first day on the Every Other Day Diet. I must admit that I have an issue with one important component of this diet program. The shakes I took for breakfast gave me a hard time. I do not have the exact information about the composition of the shakes and their impact but my understanding is that the production process involves accurate selection of nutritious foods in adequate amounts. This results into a balanced mixture that provides sufficient nutrients for the body.
I have no problem with the choice of ingredients in the shakes. I think most of them are nutritious and useful. At least that is what I figured out after checking the list of ingredients I chose. However, my issue is with the texture they generated. I am quite picky when it comes to food texture. It is even worse when it comes to beverages because I loathe anything that makes me gulp lumps and seeds. That is where my problem lies because out of the two shakes I sampled, I found them awful to say the least. I could not swallow even a mouthful of those shakes because the texture was just too much for me.
I hope you understand why I am telling you this. Since I intend to document each step of my journey to losing weight with the Every Other Day diet, I must give you the gory details of this venture. I intend to tell you the truth in the best and worst times of my experience. Count the breakfast shakes as the first of my every horrible experiences in my dieting endeavour. In actual sense, the texture of the shakes is an isolated case because it is a personal opinion that other dieters may not experience. Therefore, do not count this as a general problem for all people using this diet.
It could be that my blender is causing all the havoc especially if it has a malfunction. This might be the cause of the lumpy shakes if the foods failed to blend evenly. I do not know where the actual problem lies. I have not looked into it yet. So for now, I have opted to eat the foods whole and natural and I believe that this will help me to lose weight fast. (I hope for a quick weight loss)
Apart from the problem I had with the shakes, nothing else went amiss yesterday. In fact, I loved sampling the healthy foods I incorporated into my meals, which is unlike what I have been doing in the past. This is where this diet strikes a difference between what we use in our daily meals, and what is actually healthy and appropriate. This diet focuses on healthy foods that add nutrients to the system and keep the unhealthy material away.
If you have tried the Every Other Day Diet, I would be pleased to hear more about your experience. More so, if you encountered the same problem as I did with the breakfast shakes. You may also hold the secret to helping us deal with the awful texture of shakes. If you have advice or information about ways to get over this problem, I would love to get help from you.
I wish you all the best as you embark on this weight loss programt. Kindly share your story here and tell us what you think about this dieting plan. I also know that there are weight loss programs that work – I would love to hear about your experience with other diet programs.
